What was the highlight of Dormy Inn Express Fujisan Gotemba
Very Good
The location is good and it is not very far from the outlet if shopping is in your itinerary/plans. There is a nice rooftop deck where you can enjoy a view of Mt. Fuji while soaking your feet in warm water, which was great for us since we were there during winter. Onsen was clean, and there's free ice cream for guest to enjoy after their onsen session. If you can read Japanese, there is a nice reading corner filled with a good selection of manga comics. Plus points for free soba in the evening!

Amazing Hotel
Very nice Hotel with cute onsen and great viewing deck with perfect morning views of Mount Fuji.
I think its a bit sad that they have a very traditional mindset regarding tattoos in the onsen. I get its the way it always was but come on it’s 2024 now. BUT they gave me free fake skin to cover my tattoos that was nice. But still I mean everybody knows what’s under this stickers so why put them in the first place.

What was the highlight of Dormy Inn Express Fujisan Gotemba
Aesthetic
The location is so good! So many facilities are within walking or short driving distance. The view of Fuji san from the dining hall and foot bath is very beautiful. Breakfast was delicious and so was the free yonaki soba in the evening. The onsen is lovely as well, both the indoor and outdoor. I didn't use the sauna but it was so nice to have had one available. Our fridge had free water bottles and pear pudding! The little bags to carry your towels and things to the onsen was a nice touch. Overall a very good experience.
My only complaints are that the pillows on the bed were a little hard and that the genkan light is sensored, I woke up really early to use the bathroom and I felt guilty about the light shining on my friend who was still sleeping. Other than that, I loved everything!
